Mac Screen Recorder

I write this review after a lot of thought about it. I am a woman of 56 from India who had spent the majority of her life without even looking at a working computer. My son who has settled permanently in United States of America had recently gifted me a Macbook. I am not a complete illiterate when it comes to computer knowledge but I have never used the computers since I studied History in my college. So, I literally took to using computers only months ago. I should admit that I am practically glued to the Macbook daily. I use this to chat with my grandchildren in US and I browse the internet and find a lot of fun things to do. I watch many videos online and find it amusing.

I asked my son on how to record things that are visible on the display as I wanted to record all the wonderful memories that I share with my grandchildren. He asked me to install Movavi Mac screen recorder. At first I was unable to find the usage but quickly I was able to learn the features of the program. I began recording all my video calls with my grandchildren which came as a huge surprise to me. Moreover I was able to determine the video dimensions and the sizes. Later I had the opportunity to share these videos in many sites like Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo etc. The video capture software also made to try uploading cookery lessons for my friends and family. I was always a gifted cook and my daughter-in-law asked me to teach her cooking over the internet and this programme was very helpful for me to record the videos and then send it to her. With the passage of time I became popular even in her friends circle.

The Mac Screen recorder also has an easy movie editing tool which makes it easier for even for an old person like me. This works like a jiffy and I am able to create quality videos in no time and upload them seamlessly to all the websites. Now my friends are asking me to upload the videos and start an online cookery class which, I am about to do in a short while. The programme comes as a free trial pack which is very helpful for checking out the features of the package before actually buying the same. This makes it easier for people to try it.

Feds urge all Galaxy Note 7 owners to power them down and cease use

samsung galaxy note 7 recall fire explosion

Holy smokes! Just when we thought this Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall couldn’t get any hotter, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has just issued a press statement urging all Galaxy Note 7 users to power down their devices and stop using them. They’re also investigating how Samsung is handling the recall.

Right now, the CPSC is coordinating with Samsung to announce an official recall of the device “as soon as possible.” This press statement comes on the heels of a string of Galaxy Note 7 devices malfunction due to battery overheating. Some of these incidents have resulted in phenomenal property damage, such as one man who’s Jeep Grand Cherokee was allegedly totaled by an exploding Note 7.

The CPSC isn’t certain whether Samsung’s recall method is sufficient. The current recall plan involves users sending their devices back to Samsung or their carrier and receiving a new device containing a different model of battery that doesn’t experience spontaneous combustion.

The organization also advises customers who experience any Note 7 related safety incidents to

Whatsapp beta gains Snapchat-esque stickers and scribbling

whatsapp beta snapchat

As we continue toward the social media singularity, with every messaging and image sharing platform eventually converging into an indistinguishable array of Snapchat/Messenger/Instagram Frankenstein mashups, Whatsapp appears to be tossing its hat into the ring with stickers and drawing tools.

This isn’t the first Facebook-owned service to crib a feature from Snapchat. Earlier this year, we saw Instagram get a similar upgrade.

This news comes to us via redditor armando_rod, who noticed the features on Whatsapp beta. Since this is part of the beta, there’s no guarantee that they’ll make it all the way out to the official version of the app, but we’d be surprised if they wound up axing it.

To give it a whirl yourself, you can head over to the beta test landing page and sign up to become a tester.

Rules : that every company should follow

Every company should be striving to streamline their operations and increase their revenue. This is true no matter how successful and developed the business already is. Every company from the smallest start-up all the way to the biggest corporation should shoot for progress every day. If a company isn’t growing and trying to get better they should just close their doors. How does a highly developed company find a way to get even more out of the great employees that they already have?

Employee Assessment

Most companies do an employee assessment of their staff at least on a yearly basis. This helps them decide what both they and the employee can do to improve both the employee’s output and their relationship with executives and other leaders at the company. These assessments can be a great way to recognize which members of their staff are assets to the company and which ones are not pulling workload. There are some issues with in-house tests like this, though.

Third Party Source

Many companies hire third party consultants to come and take a look at their company and use the information that they have gathered to help tell them what they need to do to improve their business. Third party consultants can provide an unbiased look at their operations, their executive leadership, and their employee output. An honest reading of these things it’s much more valuable than what companies get when they do these things themselves.

Employee Engagement Surveys

An employee engagement survey is something that is a survey that is given to every member of a company’s workforce. Employees fill them out anonymously or not and the data that comes back is used to decide if that person is a good fit for the company still. It can also be a great way to assess the value of people that are in leadership roles at the company. They are very effective because of the unbiased nature of the questions due to the fact that they are administered by an outside source.

Any company that wants honest and valuable results when they have their company analyzed should hire a consulting group perform them. They come in without any preconceived notiongs and give the owner or CEO information on how to remedy any situations or areas that may need to be fixed. These firms are a great asset to companies nationwide no matter how big or small they are.

Intel to Spin Out McAfee Unit, Sell Stake in Business to TPG

Intel to Spin Out McAfee Unit, Sell Stake in Business to TPG

Intel Corp said it would spin out its cyber security division, formerly known as McAfee, and sell a majority stake in it to investment firm TPG for $3.1 billion in cash.

TPG will own 51 percent of the new entity, valuing the entire company at $4.2 billion including debt.

Intel, which bought McAfee for $7.7 billion in 2011, will retain a 49 percent stake in the business.

The deal ends a failed effort by Intel to stake out a major position in the computer security business. At the time of the acquisition, Intel spoke of integrating McAfee security technology into its chips, but little came of those plans.

Intel executives at the time also said they hoped the acquisition would give it a piece of the emerging business of protecting corporations from sophisticated espionage, but newer players such as Mandiant, now a unit of FireEye, came to dominate that business.

At the same time, PC growth slowed, eroding the traditional McAfee customer base’s potential.

The unit, rebranded as Intel Security Group in 2014, will revert to the McAfee brand name following the closing of the deal, expected in the second quarter of 2017.

McAfee’s founder, John McAfee, was for a time on the run from a murder investigation in Belize and is a pariah in the industry. He recently sued Intel to get back the right to use his name.

Chris Young, Intel Security’s general manager, will be named chief executive of the new company.

Intel Security’s revenue rose 11 percent to $1.1 billion through the first half of this year, the company said in a statement.

TPG, which is making a $1.1 billion equity investment in the company, first approached Intel’s board about a potential transaction for McAfee around a year ago, sources familiar with the matter said.

TPG also led a $120 million investment round for security startup Tanium last year and was the lead investor in a $100 million funding round in internet security firm Zscaler.

Dell Finalises Huge EMC Deal to Become a Tech Titan

Dell Finalises Huge EMC Deal to Become a Tech Titan

US computer maker Dell said Wednesday it completed the acquisition of data storage firm EMC, creating the largest privately held technology group with a range of computing services.

The completion creates a new firm called Dell Technologiesand finalizes a record $67 billion (roughly Rs. 4,45,231 crores) deal for EMC, which will help the struggling PC maker accelerate its efforts in cloud and mobile computing.

Dell founder and chairman Michael Dell, who took the computer maker private in 2013, said the new firm would be better positioned to compete in the evolving technology landscape.

“We are at the dawn of the next industrial revolution,” he said in a statement.

“Our world is becoming more intelligent and more connected by the minute, and ultimately will become intertwined with a vast Internet of Things, paving the way for our customers to do incredible things. This is why we created Dell Technologies. We have the products, services, talent and global scale to be a catalyst for change and guide customers, large and small, on their digital journey.”

Dell Technologies will be offering a variety of services for enterprises including cloud computing, data analytics, mobility and cybersecurity. It moves Dell further away from its origins in the personal computer market, which is shrinking.

Michael Dell created the company from his dorm room at the University of Texas and led it to become a global heavyweight known for direct service to customers.

He led a $24.9 billion (roughly Rs. 1,65,449 crores) buyout to take it private as it attempts a transformation amid diminishing PC sales and the shift to mobile computing.

While Dell Technologies remains private, EMC shareholders received a new tracking stock to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange which represents the outstanding shares in software virtualization firm VMware, which had been a unit withing EMC.

Dell Technologies, based in Texas, will have estimated annual revenues of $74 billion and 140,000 employees, with operations in 180 countries.

Microsoft delays Sunrise calendar’s death to bring more features to Outlook

At the eleventh hour, the popular Sunrise calendar app’s execution has been stayed—though not permanently.

Microsoft purchased Sunrise’s parent company in February 2015 to bolster Outlook’s capabilities. And in a post last October, Microsoft confirmed plans to kill Sunrise, though it promised that “We will leave Sunrise in market until its features are fully integrated into Outlook, the exact timing of which we will communicate in advance.” This past March, the Sunrise blogconfirmed that the app would be shut down completely on August 31.

Yesterday was August 31. Microsoft didn’t announce a delay in Sunrise’s demise—but many of Sunrise’s most beloved features have yet to transfer over to Outlook. So PCWorld published Sunrise Calendar is gone, and Microsoft Outlook can’t replace it, a hard look at Microsoft’s broken promises. Shortly after publication, Microsoft representatives reached out to the author.

“[W]e have chosen to wait a little longer in order to deliver a few more Sunrise-inspired features in Outlook,” the company told PCWorld. “Once those features are released, the Sunrise app will officially be shut down.”

This temporary reprieve means the sun isn’t setting on Sunrise just yet. But with the service still marked for death, you may want to consider switching to an alternative calendar app—or just resign yourself to the fact that you’ll be switching to Outlook at some unknown point in the future.
