Motorola has announced a Rs 2,000 price drop for Moto G, Moto G Turbo edition and Moto X Play (for a limited time). The revised price for the Moto G (third gen) will now start from Rs 9,999 and the Moto G Turbo edition will now have a starting price of Rs 12,499. As usual, both the phones with their new prices will be selling exclusively on Flipkart.
In addition to this, there are exciting exchange offers such as up to Rs 4,000 on Moto G (3rd Gen) and up to Rs 5,000 on Moto G Turbo Edition.
So the Moto G (3rd gen) will cost Rs 9,999 for the 8GB variant and Rs 10,999 for the 16GB variant. The Moto G Turbo Edition will cost Rs 12,499 for the 16GB variant. Finally the Moto X Play will set you back by Rs 16,499 for the 16GB variant and by Rs 17,999 for the 32GB variant.
The Moto G (3rd gen) was introduced earlier this year with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset on board which offered a good overall user experience but was too pricey at launch. Looks like Motorola has taken care of that in some way.
The Moto G Turbo edition, which was launched just last month at Rs 14,499, has got a price drop much earlier than expected. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset onboard and 2GB of RAM. The Moto G Turbo houses a 2470mAh battery and it comes with the TurboPower wall charger which can quickly charge your smartphone. Read our first impressions of the Moto G Turbo Edition.
Moto X Play price drop it seems is a temporary one according to sources. It will be valid only for a week. But the Flipkart product page just mentions a flat Rs 2,000 off on the Moto X Play as well. We were quite impressed with the Moto X Play with regards to performance and overall user experience. Read our review here.
